    Marijuana misconception?
There is a question at the bottom!:

Commonly it’s thought that all stoners are lazy slackers who lack any motivation to actually do anything with their lives. Also, people believe that if you smoke pot, it makes you slow and dim witted.

Now what if I were to tell you that I’v smoked marijuana every single day for the past six years. And I’m not talking about some small amount, I’m talking actually an obscene amount of weed.
I graduated from high school (im 22 now) with a 4.0GPA
Went on academic scholarship, full ride, to the University of Oregon for marketing
Volunteered (on top of working 6 days a week) for 5000 hours.
Left UO with 3.79 GPA, returned to Portland to switch careers, and am now making almost 20 dollars an hour at Providence hospital, aiding in surgeries, currently working on an RN degree.

So where do you think this misconception about pot comes from? I am not a rare case. It’s the same with all my friends, why do people still believe pot is negative?

i agree. i love pot. and yet my personal and career life are good.
any problems i have in my life are not due to pot. i wish they could legalize it. i think we should start a movement. i guess becoz when you buy anything “under the table” it just ends up being stereotyped.

Should a 16 year old be charged as an adult for killing a police officer?
When Ken Samborski heard the middle-of-the-night knock on the door at his Brighton home on Sunday he came out to find his crying daughter-in-law, accompanied by police officers.

They had bad news: His son Mason Samborski, an Oak Park police officer, had been shot while on duty. They needed to go hospital right away.

The family hurried to Providence Hospital in Southfield. There, they learned 28-year-old Mason Samborski had died, leaving behind a wife and baby.

Oak Park police said Samborski was fatally shot during an early morning struggle with a suspect on Sunday, and a 16-year-old boy later surrendered in connection with the shooting.

Ken Samborski said his son always wanted a career in law enforcement.

“He just wanted to help people out,” Ken said. “He wanted to make a difference.”Mason graduated from Brighton High School and lived in Howell.

He went to Michigan State University and was a cadet their while earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.According to police, the shooting occurred after Samborski stopped a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 16-year-old about 12:30 a.m. The Detroit teen didn’t have a driver’s license, Public Safety Director John McNeilance said at a news conference Sunday afternoon.

If I were the prosecutor, I would certainly try to bring the case as an adult homicide. At sixteen, he should know the difference between right and wrong and should understand the consequences of driving without a license and resisting an officer. Certainly he should know the consequences of assaulting and killing an officer. The suspect should be held accountable for all aspects of his crime. He chose to do wrong and must accept the consequences of his actions. I would try him as an adult.

How can I get a general job at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI?
any one who knows how to get hired at any hospital please help i just wanted to get a general job like housekeeping, transport, or office assistant…should i apply online or is there a career office in the hospital?

I actually work at Providence Hosital…..it took me 3 years to get into the St. John Providence health system. I took an entry level position to get my foot in the door then a year later got a much better position within the system. Apply on line for the job you are interested in then call back a week later to confirm your application was received,. Let them know just how interested you are in the job and ask if it would be possible to set up an interview. You must be assertive! Good Luck!
